Only part of the ridge remains up high, the other part of the volcano has collapsed over the thousands of years of erosion.
The trail takes you through lava fields full of agriculture.
And at the top there is a magnificent view of both sides of the island, specially of the Timanfaya National Volcano Reserve and La Geria.
We went in early april, which was nice weather because is not too hot or too cold. This time of year is also full of flowers..
We got a little bit lost on the way there, but our path also took us right though Gaida volcano´s crater on the way to Guardilama volcano, making the whole trip twice as fun.
